Cookie Policy

1 OBJECTIVE

The purpose of AMAGGI’s Cookie Policy is to provide guidance on how cookies are handled (collection, storage, usage, etc.) for Users who visit and use the features available on AMAGGI’s website,  amaggi.com.br.

This Policy must be read and interpreted in conjunction with AMAGGI’s Privacy Policy (click here)

1.1 Scope
This document applies to all AMAGGI units in Brazil.

 

2 DEFINITIONS, TERMINOLOGY AND ACRONYMS

For the purposes of this document, on the subject at the Company, the following are conceptualized as:

Anonymization: Use of technical means, reasonable and available when processing personal data, through which data loses the possibility of an association, directly or indirectly, with an individual. Anonymized data is not considered personal data for the purposes of the GDPR.

Cookies: Cookies are, in computer terminology, small text files deposited by a server site on the user’s computer to “memorize” some information related to that navigation.

Personal Data: Information related to an identified or identifiable individual. Also considered personal data are those used to form the behavioral profile of a certain individual.

General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (“GDPR”): (Law No. 13,709, from 14 August 2018) which provides for the processing of personal data in digital or physical means carried out by an individual or legal entity, under public law or private, with the aim of defending the holders of the personal data and at the same time allowing the use of data for different purposes, balancing interests and harmonizing human protection with technological and economic development.

Holder: Individual to whom the personal data are subject to processing refer.

Processing of Personal Data: All operations carried out with personal data, such as those referring to the collection, production, reception, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, archiving, storage, elimination, evaluation, control of information, modification, communication, transfer, diffusion or extraction.

Users of the Electronic Portal or Website: For the purposes of this Policy, occasional visitors to the electronic portal or website of AMAGGI, such as interested parties, Employees, Former Employees, Customers, Suppliers, Producers or any other user.

 

3 AMAGGI COOKIES POLICY

 

3.1 Cookies Definition
Cookies are small text files deposited by a website server on the User’s computer or another device (cell phones and tablets, for example) during their visit to allow the availability of a page and “memorize” some information related to that navigation, associate and distinguish Users. To this end, it can be said that cookies are electronic identifiers.

AMAGGI uses cookies to allow better technical functioning of its website, to remember certain browsing preferences established by the User, to offer relevant products and services to Users, and to identify traffic on the website.

The cookies used by AMAGGI can capture non-confidential equipment data, such as browser used, version, monitor setting and behavior on the website.

IV – Advertising Cookies serve to draw a balance of User preferences based on data relating to their navigation, helping to display and create personalized advertisements. These cookies may be generated through the company’s website by advertising partners. They may be used by these companies to build a profile of the user’s interests and show relevant advertisements on other websites. They do not directly store personal information but are based on uniquely identifying the user’s browser and internet device. If the use of these cookies is not permitted, the user will receive less advertising news.

I – Strictly Clean cookies are intended to make navigation on the website feasible, operating so that the most basic functionalities are actually offered to the User. These cookies are allowed the website to function and cannot be turned off in our systems.

The changes made will be communicated in due course through AMAGGI’s official channels.

4 RESPONSIBILITIES, EXCEPTIONS AND GENERAL PROVISIONS

All employees are individually responsible for ensuring compliance with this document in conjunction with the Code of Ethics and Conduct and the laws and regulations in force.

Immediate superiors must ensure that their subordinates receive the necessary guidance to meet the requirements of this document.

This document and its updating, whenever necessary, is the responsibility of the Compliance area, and any exception to the provisions must be forwarded to Compliance Management.
