International Recognition: AMAGGI gets “A” score from CDP for forest protection
AMAGGI has received an “A” score for its leadership in corporate transparency and performance in the “Forests” category from CDP (Carbon Disclosure Program), a non-profit environmental organization. This acknowledgement places the company among global leaders that demonstrate encompassing disclosure, mature environmental governance, and significant progress towards environmental resilience.
This year, 20,000 companies around the world were scored by CDP, among more than 22,100 that reported through the organization’s platform, and being placed on the A List means to be among the top 4%. This score reflects the depth of the reports, the understanding of environmental risks, and the adoption of excellence practices, such as ambitious goals and verified actions. To ensure this assessment, CDP uses a strict, independent methodology, aligned with the parameters from TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures).
In addition to the “A” score in Forests, AMAGGI maintained the “B” score in Climate Change and, for the first time, responded to the Water Safety front, scoring “B-”. These results showcase the company’s evolution in structuring processes, identifying risks and opportunities, and strengthening the environmental management, with focus on ongoing improvement. CDP’ methodology provides an integrated assessment on the Forests, Climate Change and Water Safety fronts, acknowledging the interdependence of these themes to the resilience of production systems.
Currently, AMAGGI maintains 100% of traceability on its direct suppliers and nearly 177,000 hectares of preserved areas on its properties. This commitment reflects an integrated strategy that combines sustainable production with protection of biodiversity and responsible land management.
“We believe it is possible to produce at the same time we invest in the conservation of forest reserves, the sustainable use of natural resources, and the restoration of ecosystems. Sustainable production is a reality at AMAGGI and once more this work is acknowledged by CDP. We are very happy with the result,” says Juliana Lopes, Director of ESG, Communication and Compliance.
CDP maintains the world’s largest repository of information and is widely used to guide decisions on investment and acquisition that support a net-zero, sustainable and positive economy for the planet. In 2025, 640 investors with US$ 127 trillion in assets requested to CDP the collection of data about environmental impacts, risks and opportunities.
“Congratulations to all companies that are part of the A List from CDP. The companies that achieved the ‘A’ score are proving that environmental condition and commercial strength walk hand in hand. High-quality data gives leaders the necessary confidence to make positive decisions for the planet that ensure long-term competitiveness, attract capital, and protect natural systems. These organizations show what is possible when transparency becomes the foundation for action,” states Sherry Madera, CEO of CDP.
