Global Sustainability Positioning
A performance compatible with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is only possible when working in partnership with the civil society, NGO’s, suppliers, customers, government, among others.
It is with this in mind that we launched, in 2017, our Global Sustainability Positioning. The objective is to provide clarity and transparency on our sustainability strategy to all stakeholders. We also want to deepen the synergy of our operations around the world, keeping them in line with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values, as well as the organization’s business plan.
Our positioning is based on the following principles:
Have economic viability, add value to shareholders and employees, and share value with society while contributing to local development;
Be socio-environmentally responsible and promote continuous improvement of socio-environmental management in its operations and value chain;
Promote respect for human rights and decent work in its operations and value chain;
Ensure good governance and transparency in its operations, through legal compliance and risk management;
Promote the personal and professional growth of its employees, valuing diversity and seeking continuous improvement in working conditions and health & safety;
Contribute to the promotion of food and nutritional security.
Based on the Global Sustainability Positioning, the Sustainability Plan with Vision was created. Organized into four strategic blocks – Improving governance and management; Promoting a sustainable value chain; Growing with the locality; and Innovating products and sustainable solutions – that address current issues for AMAGGI and our stakeholders, including current materiality issues.
In 2019, in order to update and deepen priority themes and our sustainability challenges, we promoted a general review of the Sustainability Plan with Vision, with the participation of leaders from various areas within the company and consultations with several other internal and external stakeholders, in parallel with the materiality review.
In this process, by seeking greater clarity, we updated our commitments within each of the four strategic blocks and repositioned our performance in relation to some of the themes, taking into consideration our initiatives, investments and the most relevant trends for the business.

COMMITMENT
We believe that the company's growth is only viable if it is generating and sharing values with society and contributing to the socio-economic development of the regions where we are present.
For this reason, we are committed to generating jobs and income, disseminating knowledge, good practices, stimulating innovation, developing suppliers and local labor and making private social investments in the regions where we operate.
We understand that only working through partnerships, which respects Human Rights, the culture of traditional and indigenous peoples, and is aligned with the expectations of communities, we can generate positive impacts, transforming local realities.
COMMITMENT
We believe that the way a company positions itself in the market is a reflection of its values and its human capital, and its growth is related to its ability to engage people and ensure good governance and management, with ethics, integrity and transparency.
For this reason, we are committed to continuously investing in people development, process improvements, preventive risk management and legal compliance.
We understand that through valuing a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, socio-environmental responsibility, occupational health and safety, diversity and inclusion, and the promotion of quality of life and well-being, we are growing responsibly and permanently, in a healthy and welcoming environment for our employees.
COMMITMENT
We believe that for the development of responsible production, with traceability and positive impact, less carbon footprint, free from deforestation and conversion of native vegetation, it is necessary to work together with all those involved in our value chain.
For this reason, we are committed to investing in the enhancement of natural and human capital, promoting respect for Human Rights and decent work. We support our partners through the dissemination of knowledge, encouraging socio-environmental certifications and better agricultural practices, as well as the adoption of new technologies for sustainable production.
Through partnerships, we engage our stakeholders and scale the sustainability of agribusiness, meeting the most demanding markets.
We understand that through this socially and environmentally responsible action, we will contribute to the growth and development of our chain in a permanent and transparent manner.
COMMITMENT
We believe that our performance influences and is influenced by the demands of society and by constant challenges, debates and uncertainties that permeate agribusiness.
Therefore, we are committed to sharing with our stakeholders on new technological trends of high productivity and low socio-environmental impact, digital tools, new patterns of food consumption and solutions on the main challenges for sustainable agribusiness.
To this end, we will constantly invest to provide sustainable and innovative products and solutions that guarantee traceability of origin, combined with a smaller carbon footprint, efficient use of pesticides, free from deforestation and conversion of native vegetation and that meet new habits of consumption.
We understand that through an innovative performance, of leadership and together with the others involved, we will contribute to the generation of positive impacts in our operations and value chain, as well as for the responsible growth of the sector.
The accountability for each of these commitments assumed in the Global Sustainability Positioning Plan, as well as AMAGGI’s strategy correlation with the SDGs, is done annually through the Sustainability Reports.
