Activities and Value Chain
Sustainable development and quality are key to global economy growth
We contribute to global economy growth through sustainable development of agribusiness, working in areas of agricultural production and soybean seeds; origination, commercialization of grains ad inputs; fertilizer production (mixing plant); port and river operations, rail and road transport, and generation and sale of electricity. We also operate in the production of soybean meal and soybean oil, commonly used in industries and domestic kitchens.
We understand that the company’s performance cannot be restricted to a single operation, but must permeate its entire value chain. Therefore, AMAGGI works in the sustainable development of all agribusiness fronts. From seed quality to grain delivery in different parts of the world. All activities are strategically distributed in four business areas, which rely on a unified corporate management.
AMAGGI Logistics and Operations
Responsible for water, road and rail transportation, terminal management, ports, soybean crushing factories and fertilizer mixing factory, the Logistics and Operations area has gained relevance and has stood out in the group’s business in recent years.
Origination operations, trading and commercialization of inputs, as well as warehouse management are the Commodities area responsibility, which has a storage capacity of 1.8 million tons of grain, distributed in 25 storage units.
This area is responsible for the agricultural production of soybean, corn, cotton and soybean seeds on AMAGGI farms. Our crops use state-of-the-art technology in a sustainable manner.
The energy area is comprised by power generation and administration of five Small Hydroelectric Power Plants (SHPs), located in the municipalities of Sapezal and Campos de Júlio, in the state of Mato Grosso, which are integrated into the National Energy System, and have 70MW of installed power capacity.
